For women who are not currently taking a combined oral contraceptive pill, it is medically possible to safely delay your period using a regulated hormonal treatment. This tablet contains a synthetic version of progesterone, a naturally occurring hormone in your body.
Under normal circumstances, your progesterone levels drop sharply at the end of your cycle, which signals to your body that it is time to shed the uterine lining—resulting in your period. By taking our prescribed period delay tablets three days before your period is expected to start, you keep your progesterone levels elevated. This effectively hits the "pause button" on your cycle, delaying your period until after you stop taking the tablets. Once you complete the course, your period will typically arrive within two to three days.

While period delay treatments are highly effective and safe for the vast majority of women, they are a temporary solution rather than a long-term method of cycle management. This service is generally suitable for healthy women aged 18 and over who need to delay their period for up to 17 days.
It is important to note that period delay tablets are not a form of contraception and will not protect you from pregnancy or sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
